Just a quick note to say that despite my willingness to apply varnish to the villa my dear wife has engaged a local 'handyman' to do the job for me.

He has started with B/34, home of Burhan Ozzazman and first hand reports from Jennifer say it's a first class job. What a pity as I was really looking forward to spending a whole week keeping the villa in tip top condition!!

Price is reasonable from all accounts and when he has finished our villa I'll let you know how good it is and how much.

A quick update.

In spite of the horrendous weather in Kusadasi right now the varnishing is going as planned. An excellent job, and highly recommended.

The cost 600 TRY which for a weeks work seems very reasonable.
